Bucklebury Beerfest

The annual Bucklebury Beerfest is held at the Recreation Ground in Bucklebury Village every autumn. This year it will be our 11th Beerfest, and the date is set for Saturday 12th October 2019.

The event is very much a family fun day as well as a beerfest, and the aim is to raise funds to maintain the village hall, the Victory Room.

The event is free to the public and runs from 12 noon until 6pm. Go to Beerfest 2019 and see what we've got lined up for you this year.

Beer

Bucklebury Village

The majority of our beer comes from West Berks Brewery, a local brewery based in Yattendon. WBB is known for their award-winning range of traditional cask ales and bottled beers having won more than 45 awards since they struck their first brew in 1995!

We also have beer from three other local breweries - Indigenous Brewery in Chaddleworth, who create local hand crafted ales for the discerning ale drinker, Ramsbury Brewery, a brewery in the valleys of the Wiltshire countryside and Bond Brews from Wokingham.

And let's not forget the cider, from Bradfield's lovely Tutts Clump.

Bucklebury Village

Since 2006 they have been making award-winning Cider with 100% juice from real fruit. Being sugar and gluten free it’s also suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.

Tutts Clump Cider is a family business that was set up in 2006 by Tim Wale. Tim (who is an Agricultural/Motor Engineer by trade) was born in the hamlet of Tutts Clump in West Berkshire and still lives there. Tim is assisted by his wife and five daughters. Cider making started as a hobby with production of some 25 litres.

By 2013 they were using around 90 tonnes of home counties grown apples and crafting some 60,000 litres of Proper Cider.

We also have a new cider provider Pang Valley Cider who are bringing us some lovely new apple delights for us to try.
